Welcome to a family owned and operated Sport Horse breeding and lower-level training facility. We strive in producing quality over quantity; so we produce only a small number of foals a year and stand only quality stallions.

Beautiful and peaceful.
Catchie enjoying the day.
At SOSF we are breeding Irish and Freisian Sport horses. These horses are made to compete and do it well. Sport horses are found in the dressage rings, show jumping arenas, on the cross country courses, and even in competitive driving. They are in every country all over the world, winning classes.
We also try to place our horses in good homes that will be best suited to the foals personality. Most of our horses need attention everyday to be happy and they love to work, so making sure they have plenty of activity is important for these active breeds.

The always hopeful. One day Amanda plans on riding the Rolex 3 day held at the Kentucky Horse Park. But for now, pictures will have to do.
It's a family affair here at SOSF!

Today marks a happy and sad day at SOSF.
On Friday 3/21/08 we lost one of our favoirite farm dogs, Pagan. She will be greatly missed and loved, but here at SOSF we know that she is no longer suffering and is enjoying the after life with some of her feline friends of long gone.
Today however completes the circle of life. Polite Requirement, aka Ostara, was born. A dark bay filly with no white, out of Riley's Lacey Affair by Draak. Already very friendly, curious, and energetic, she will make a wonderful addition to the herd. You can see more photos on the Foal page.

Prada, the first foal to be born this year, will be leaving SOSF next Wednesday to return to her home in GA. Owner, Delaine Watson, is extremely excited with her newest addition.

Today brings the newest edition to SOSF. Congratulations to Delaine and her beautiful Quarter horse mare on the birth of their first foal. Gata came to live at SOSF in Decemeber of 2007. The little bay filly is happy and healthy and will be going home to GA as soon as they are cleared for transport.
Contratulations again! Pictures will be coming soon.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Congratulations to Genevive D. for half-leasing Spunky and enjoying their time. At the end of May, he may be up for an addition half-lease since Amanda will be focusing her energies on training Knight and re-training Bombay after her years as a broodmare.
Keep checking back for more updates!

Susanne Benson, an equine massage therapist, came out to SOSF to work her magic on Spunky. He has benefitted from his two sessions but relaxing his neck and back more, and having more swing to his step.
Her services include sports massage and therapetuic massage for the equine partner. Excellent quality for a good price.
She can be reached at 386-688-0139 to schedule an appointment for your horse today.

Amanda, Kevin, and Spunky had a great time at the Phillip Dutton clinic hosted by Cedar Ridge Farm in Athens, GA. I hope to post some video from the first day since our digital camera has lost the capability of being recharged thanks to Osiris.
We also made some new friends. Linnea Boyce at Fox Haven Farm, Doreen, Flash and her mother from UCF in Canton GA, and also Susanne and her mother Percilla.
It was a wonderful weekend, full of laughter, nice horses, and sore muscles. Thank you again to Cedar Ridge Farm for hosting such a lovely clinic. And Thank You to Phillip Dutton for sharing some of his wisdom with us.

Tuesday brought us another addition the SOSF herd. Conflict of Interest or "Cricket" was adopted from UF research foals. She is a chestnut/grey filly, born May 28, 2007, out of Ghost (Tb) by Cliff (Tb). Both were race horses at some point in their career, but Cricket has already proven to be a jumper; hardy, and very stubborn, these two traits will help her make an awesome event horse too. She'll fit in just fine soon enough.
Pictures will be here soon.

On Saturday, 9-15, Catch Me If You Can, "Catchie" came to reside at SOSF. He has already become a part of the herd in his short time here. Spunky is welcoming the newest addition.
You have visit www.bestfriendsfarm.com to find your own miniature donkey to take home to love.
